Slow Cooker Beef Manhattan

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 4 large celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 large carrots, sliced
  • 4 slices of bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the beef with salt and pepper.
  2. In a slow cooker, combine beef, broth, onions, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and spices.
  3. Place celery and carrots on top of the beef.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours until the beef is tender.
  5. Shred the beef with two forks and mix it back into the juices.
