  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, maple syrup, and egg.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow muffins to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can toast the walnuts before adding them to the batter.
  • Try adding chocolate chips for an extra treat!
