Gordon Ramsay’s Tiramisu – A Creamy Italian Classic

A rich and creamy Italian dessert that combines layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and a mascarpone mixture.

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together egg yolks and sugar over low heat until thickened.
  2. Add milk and continue to cook until mixture is smooth.
  3. Let it cool slightly, then mix in mascarpone cheese.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold into mascarpone mixture.
  5. Combine coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
  6. Dip ladyfingers in the coffee mix and layer in a serving dish.
  7. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  8. Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh ingredients.
  • Allow the tiramisu to set for a few hours for flavors to meld.
