Funfetti Cake

A colorful and fun dessert that is perfect for any celebration!

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  6. Fold in the sprinkles.
  7. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Frost with your favorite frosting and add extra sprinkles on top if desired.

Notes

  • For an extra fun twist, try using different types of sprinkles.
  • This cake can be made ahead of time and stored for a few days.
