Fish puttanesca made easy: A hearty twist with turkey bacon

Fish Puttanesca

Enjoy a delicious, hearty twist on the classic puttanesca with added turkey bacon for a smoky flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 fillets white fish
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, capers, and olives, simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Add fish fillets to the skillet, cover, and cook until fish is opaque.
  5. Crush the turkey bacon and sprinkle over the fish. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to use different fish varieties based on your preference.
  • For a vegetarian version, substitute fish with sautéed mushrooms.
