Easy Caramel Apple Cinnamon Rolls

Delicious and easy to make, these caramel apple cinnamon rolls are perfect for fall.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups chopped apples
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top, and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter and egg to the yeast mixture and mix well.
  3. Gradually mix in 3 1/2 cups of flour and salt. Knead until smooth.
  4. Allow dough to rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread caramel sauce, sprinkle cinnamon, and layer apples and pecans.
  6. Roll up the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Drizzle remaining caramel sauce on top before serving.
