  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 limes, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture onto the beef chuck roast.
  3. Place the roast in the crock pot and add beef broth and bay leaves.
  4. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until meat is tender.
  5. Remove the roast, shred the meat, and strain the cooking liquid.
  6. Warm corn tortillas and fill with the shredded beef, onions, and cilantro.
  7. Serve with lime wedges.
