Creamy Sun Dried Tomato Chicken Pasta

A deliciously creamy pasta dish featuring sun-dried tomatoes and turkey bacon for an added twist.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. Add sun-dried tomatoes and shredded chicken to the skillet. Cook for a few minutes until heated through.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and crumbled bacon. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Mix in the cooked penne pasta and Parmesan cheese. Stir until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half.
  • Adding spinach or kale can increase the nutritional value of the dish.
