Classic Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

A delicious and easy recipe for Classic Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa that combines the flavors of sauerkraut, sausage, and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pierogi
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until translucent.
  2. Layer half of the pierogi in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Add half of the kielbasa and half of the sauerkraut over the pierogi.
  4. Spread half of the cheese and half of the sour cream on top.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the pierogi are heated through.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding some garlic or herbs.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated.
